FAQ

How do painters itemise an invoice?

Common ways are per room, per square foot, or labour hours plus paint. Whatever you quoted, mirror it on the invoice so the client can match the two.

Should paint be a separate line on the invoice?

Listing paint by the gallon is transparent and lets the client see the quality of paint used. Some painters include it in the room price instead; either works if it matches your quote.

How much paint do I need for a room?

It depends on wall area, coats and the coverage on the can. The CyberMax paint calculator works it out from room size, doors, windows and coats, and shows the formula.
