Questions
What is expectancy, and an R multiple?
Expectancy is your average profit or loss per trade. An R multiple divides a trade's result by the money you risked to your stop: +2R means you made twice what you risked. Across many trades, average R tells you whether your system pays for its losers.
Where is my journal stored?
In this browser only. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Pro adds CSV export and import, so you can keep a backup or move to another device.
Why not TraderSync, Tradervue or Edgewonk?
They sync with brokers and add trade replay and AI coaching, priced to match: TraderSync Pro is listed at $29.95 a month, Tradervue Silver at $29.95 a month (its free plan allows 30 trades a month), Edgewonk at $169 a year (checked 31 Oct 2026). If you log by hand or by CSV and want the numbers that matter, Edgesprig is free for 50 trades and $7.99 a month for unlimited.
