The current US tariff schedule lists an end date of 9 November 2026 for 214 Section 301 product exclusions on goods from China. They sit on 117 tariff lines (8-digit HTS codes). This count comes from the USITC Harmonized Tariff Schedule, 2026 Revision 20, as built into our tariff data on 8 October 2026; no other end date appears in this revision.
What an exclusion does
A Section 301 exclusion removes the extra China duty for a narrowly described product within an HTS line. When it ends, that product pays the Section 301 duty of its list again, on top of the general rate, unless the US Trade Representative extends it. Exclusions have been extended before, so watch for a USTR notice before the date.
Which lists and chapters
Tariff lines with an exclusion ending 9 Nov 2026, by Section 301 list
117 HTS 8-digit lines in USITC HTS 2026 Revision 20 (CyberMax build of 8 Oct 2026). One line can carry several exclusions.
Most of the affected lines are on Lists 1, 2 and 3, where the extra duty is 25%. 67 of the 117 lines have a general (MFN) duty of zero, so for those products the Section 301 duty would be the whole duty.
Exclusions ending 9 Nov 2026, by HTS chapter
Count of exclusions (statistical lines) per chapter; top 6 of 214.
Chapter 84 (machinery, for example pump parts, compressors, filtering equipment and semiconductor manufacturing machines in heading 8486) has the most exclusions, followed by chapter 85 (electric motors, transformers, printed circuits, switching apparatus) and chapter 90 (medical instruments, X-ray apparatus, measuring instruments). One line, 8413.91.90 (parts of pumps for liquids), alone carries 20 of them.
How to check your codes
Each exclusion covers a specific product description, not the whole HTS line, so check the exclusion text against what you import. Every rated tariff line has a page with its Section 301 list, the exclusions in effect and their end dates, and a free duty calculator: for example 8413.91.90 or 8486.10.00. Chapter overviews: chapter 84, chapter 85, chapter 90.
