Any article link to clean text, Markdown, author and date
Send article URLs or RSS and Atom feeds and Inkpluck returns each article without menus, ads and footers: clean text, Markdown, title, cleaned author list, ISO publish date, language, top image and a paywall flag. It fetches pages over plain HTTP (no browser), retries blocked pages through a proxy, and charges only for articles that were extracted. Feed monitor mode extracts each new post once.

Why teams pick Inkpluck
- $1 per 1,000 articles, against $2.99 per 1,000 (easyapi) and $0.005 per article on the free plan (tugelbay) for the two closest Apify extractors.
- Failures cost nothing, and one switch charges only for real articles, so a home page in your list is free.
- Markdown ready for an LLM, plus structured fields: authors, ISO date, language, top image and a paywall flag.
- RSS and Atom feeds with monitor mode: each new post is extracted and charged once.
- Plain HTTP, about 0.5 to 3 s per article, with no special permissions on your Apify account.
How it works
- Open Inkpluck on Apify and paste article URLs, or add RSS/Atom feed URLs.
- Run it; each article becomes one record with text, Markdown, authors, date and language.
- Download JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it by API from your pipeline.
FAQ
Is there a cheap article extraction API?
Inkpluck costs $0.001 per extracted article through Apify's API, and nothing for failures.
Why not Diffbot?
Diffbot is a large knowledge-graph platform with a free tier of 10,000 credits and paid plans from $299/month. If you need clean article text and metadata from URLs or feeds, Inkpluck does that for $1 per 1,000 articles with no plan.
Why not easyapi's or tugelbay's extractor?
easyapi charges from $2.99 per 1,000 results plus platform usage; tugelbay charges $0.005 per article on the free Apify plan and from $3.50 per 1,000 on higher plans. Inkpluck is $1 per 1,000 and failures are free.
Does it get past paywalls?
No. It fetches public pages only, with no login and no paywall bypass, and flags paywalled pages. The text still belongs to its publisher: fine for analysis, search and summaries; ask before republishing.
