How to fly a car in Roblox: controls for PC, phone and controller
Short answer
Roblox has no single fly button: each game scripts its own vehicles. In a flying car game such as Skyline Flight Circuit, get in (F on PC, DRIVE on a phone, X on a controller), lift off (Q, FLY or X), then hold gas, steer, climb with Space and dive with Shift; on a phone one stick steers and climbs.
- Join a Roblox game where cars can fly, such as Skyline Flight Circuit. A normal driving game will not let a car leave the ground.
- Walk to your car and get in: press F on a keyboard, tap DRIVE on a phone or tablet, or press X on a controller.
- Drive onto the road (W, GAS on a phone, RT on a controller), then lift off: tap FLY on a phone, press Q or Space on PC, or X on a controller.
- In the air, hold gas to fly forward and steer with A and D or the stick.
- Climb with Space and dive with Shift (on a phone or controller, push the stick up or down).
- Boost with E (A on a controller; on a phone, slide your thumb up on GAS) on straight stretches.
- Get out with F, the EXIT button or Y on a controller.
Why flying controls differ between Roblox games
On foot, Roblox uses the same controls everywhere: WASD or the stick to walk and Space to jump. Vehicles are different, because every game scripts its own cars. That is why the keys that fly a car in one game may do nothing in another. Look for the controls hint on screen or in the game's description on its Roblox page.
How to fly in Roblox on mobile
On a phone or tablet, flying games show touch controls once you sit in the driver seat. In Skyline Flight Circuit you tap DRIVE next to your car; one stick on the left then steers and climbs or dives, you hold GAS under your right thumb and slide up on it to boost (BRAKE is the smaller button beside it), and a small EXIT button in the corner gets you out. Hold the phone in landscape so the controls do not cover the gates.
Flying with a controller
Roblox supports gamepads, and games that script their vehicles for them map the buttons themselves. In Skyline Flight Circuit: X gets in, the left stick steers and climbs or dives, RT is gas, LT brakes, A boosts and Y gets out.
How to drive a car in Roblox (on the ground)
In most Roblox driving games you sit in the driver seat and use W and S (or the stick and triggers) for gas and brake and A and D to steer. Ground cars do not climb: flying needs a game built for it.
If the car will not move
- Check you are in the driver seat. Passengers cannot drive; in Skyline Flight Circuit only the car's owner can.
- Lost your car? Follow the arrow at the bottom of the screen, or tap CALL CAR (C on PC, Y on a controller) and it flies to you in about a second.
- Flight keys work only while you drive. On foot, Space jumps as usual.
