Throw your car sideways through an endless winding road, chain drifts into huge combos, thread checkpoint gates and spend the coins you earn on garage upgrades and new cars. Every run takes a few minutes and the road is different every time, with a daily road that is the same for everyone. No download and no sign-up; it runs on phones, tablets, Chromebooks and PCs.
How to play Skidlark
- Steer into a corner and hold it: the rear breaks loose and you start drifting.
- The longer and wider your drift, the more points it builds; link drifts without straightening up to grow the combo multiplier.
- Drive through checkpoint gates to refill your timer and keep the run alive.
- Avoid walls and barriers: a crash ends the combo (and a hard one ends the run).
- Collect coins and spend them in the garage on grip, speed, nitro and new cars.
Controls
Phone and tablet: Hold the left or right half of the screen to steer; hold through a corner to drift. Touch both sides for the handbrake.
Desktop, laptop and Chromebook: A/D or Left/Right arrows to steer, Space for the handbrake, Esc to pause, R to restart, M to mute.
Skidlark tips and strategy
- Start the drift early, before the apex, and let the car slide wide on the exit.
- Tap the handbrake to snap into a drift on tight hairpins.
- Gates refill your timer, so a slightly slower clean line beats a crash.
- Upgrade grip first if you spin a lot, top speed once you can hold long drifts.
- Near-misses on cones and barrels add bonus points without breaking your combo.
- Missions pay coins fast: check them before each run.
