Split expenses with friends, free

Yes. One group with as many people and expenses as you like, no daily limit, no ads and no account. Equal, shares and exact splits, live balances, the settle-up plan and the share link are all free.

Splitwise is a good app with an account and phone apps, but its free plan limits how many expenses you can add each day, and Pro is an in-app subscription (from $2.99 to $4.99 a month or $29.99 to $39.99 a year on the US App Store, checked 29 Oct 2026). Kittyfern has no daily limit, no sign-up, and Pro is $3.99 once.

Tap Share link and send it. The whole group is packed inside the link, so friends open it in any browser and see the same expenses and balances. Nothing is stored on a server. After new expenses, share a fresh link.

Kittyfern adds up what everyone paid and their share of each expense, then lists the fewest payments that make everyone even. Tap Mark paid when someone pays and the balances update.

Yes: equally between the people you tick, by shares (2 shares for the couple, 1 for each single), or by exact amounts. Rounding is to the cent and always adds up to the total.

Everything is saved only in this browser on this device. A share link contains the group, so only send it to people in the group.
