Why teams pick Fieldwright
- Markdown and the page's own structured data (JSON-LD, OpenGraph) in one call, with no model in the loop, so the output is the same every time.
- $19/month buys 7,500 pages on Reader; Firecrawl Hobby is $19/month for 5,000 credits (checked 10 Oct 2026).
- A $5 pack of 1,500 pages never expires, so a side project does not need a subscription.
- Emails and phone numbers on the page come back as fields, ready for a sheet.
- Same key on the REST API and the MCP server for Claude, Cursor and other agents.

Is it a drop-in Firecrawl replacement?
For reading single public pages into Markdown, yes. Firecrawl also renders JavaScript, crawls whole sites and runs search; Fieldwright reads the HTML the server sends, one URL per call. If your pages render only with JavaScript, Firecrawl or a browser-based tool is the better fit.
Do I need an OpenAI or other LLM key?
No. The API runs without a model and refuses LLM keys. Hand the Markdown to your own model if you need more.
What comes back besides Markdown?
Title, description, language, canonical URL, OpenGraph, JSON-LD, emails and phone numbers, plus the final URL and HTTP status.
How do I use a paid key?
Pay by card with Stripe; the key arrives by email at once. Send it as a Bearer token. Failed calls are not counted.
Can AI agents use it?
Yes, the MCP server is at /mcp on the API host; the same plans apply.
