Lapsemoor by CyberMax Plans

Never let a domain or SSL certificate lapse

Lapsemoor checks your domains every day: the registration date in the registry and the certificate your server really presents. You get a message before anything expires. Free for 10 domains, no sign-up.

How it checks

Domain: the expiration date from the domain's registry record (RDAP, the official successor to WHOIS), re-read weekly and daily in the last 45 days. Certificate: Lapsemoor opens a TLS connection to the host, reads the certificate your server presents and checks its end date and that it covers the name. If a server only speaks TLS 1.3, it uses the newest certificate in the public Certificate Transparency logs and says so.

Lapsemoor reads public records only. It does not log in to your registrar, renew anything for you or monitor uptime minute by minute.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes: 10 domains, daily checks and alerts 30, 7 and 1 day before, with no account. Pro ($6 a month or $59 a year) adds 100 domains, your own alert days and a calendar feed; Agency ($15 a month or $149 a year) covers 500 domains.

Why not UptimeRobot or a full monitoring suite?

Those are uptime monitors first. UptimeRobot's paid Solo plan is $13 a month and Team $39 (uptimerobot.com/pricing, checked 29 Oct 2026). Notify.domains is $2 per domain a month, billed yearly (checked 29 Oct 2026). Lapsemoor does expiry only, and Pro covers 100 domains for $6 a month.

Why not a calendar reminder I set myself?

Certificates renew automatically every 60 to 90 days, and automation fails quietly. Lapsemoor reads the real date every day, so you hear about a failed renewal while there is still time.

Do I need an account or an email address?

No. Your list has a private link instead. Alerts go to Telegram, your browser or a feed. Keep the link safe: anyone with it can edit the list.

Which domains work?

Any public domain. A few country-code registries (for example .de) do not publish an expiry date over RDAP; for those Lapsemoor still watches the certificate.

How do I cancel?

Open your list and press "Billing and cancel" (Stripe's billing page). The plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for, then the list goes back to free: the first 10 domains keep being watched and nothing is deleted.
