Problem: Blue Bird Body Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2018-2024, 2026 Vision and All American Electric school buses. The high voltage battery system mounting bolts may be loose or missing.
Risk: A high voltage battery with loose or missing mounting bolts can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free fix: Dealers will inspect and reinstall bolts with thread locker. Damaged or missing bolts will be replaced. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 1, 2026. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242. Blue Bird's number for this recall is R26AK.
Visibility › Windshield › Critical Fasteners (26V246000, 2026-04-17)
Problem: Blue Bird Bus Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2026-2027 All American school buses. The retention nuts between the wiper blades and the mounting arms may have been improperly tightened.
Risk: Loose fasteners may cause the windshield wipers to become inoperative, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free fix: Dealers will inspect and tighten the fasteners as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 11. 2026. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242.
Electrical System › Wiring (25V897000, 2025-12-19)
Problem: Blue Bird Bus Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2019-2027 Vision and All American school buses. A loose 12-volt cable may disconnect, causing a loss of electrical systems.
Risk: A loss of brake assist, drive power, steering assist, or instrument panel displays can increase the risk of a crash.
Free fix: Dealers will inspect, add a torque stripe, and properly tighten the 12-volt cable as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 17, 2026. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242.
