Screen every 8-K by event type across your universe

For: asset management

Event-driven research starts with "which companies reported X this month". Eventwren answers that with one filter on the Item column.

How asset management teams use Eventwren

  1. Load the events table and filter Item 5.02 for leadership changes or 4.02 for non-reliance on past financials.
  2. Join to your holdings by ticker.
  3. Open the filing link for any row you act on; the dataset is a pointer, the filing is the record.
  4. For insider buying around those events, query the Insidewell API (free 100 calls a day).

Rows reflect the Items declared in each filing's SEC header, not a model's guess.

FAQ

Why not a paid 8-K feed?

If you trade on minutes, buy a real-time feed. For screening and backtests, a free 20-day table is often enough.
