How to fly a free flight simulator in your browser: controls and first flight

Updated 2026-11-02 · Players and puzzle fans · by CyberMax

Short answer

Open a browser flight sim that supports WebGL2, start on a runway, set full throttle, raise the nose gently at take-off speed, retract the gear and keep turns shallow. In Fellwing: arrow keys or WASD to fly, Q and E for rudder, Shift and Ctrl (or 1-0) for throttle, F for flaps, G for gear, Space for brakes and C to change camera.

  1. Choose a runway start (for example Innsbruck) rather than an air start for your first take-off.
  2. Lower one notch of flaps, release the brakes and apply full throttle.
  3. At take-off speed pull back gently; once climbing, raise the gear and the flaps.
  4. Turn with bank, not just rudder; keep bank under about 30 degrees.
  5. To land: line up early, reduce throttle, lower flaps and gear, and flare just above the runway.

Good to know

Fellwing needs WebGL2 (current Chrome, Edge, Safari 15+ or Firefox). It is a game, not a training tool.
