How to make a resume for free and download it as a PDF (no sign-up)

Updated 2026-11-03 · Planners and templates · by CyberMax

Short answer

Use five standard sections (contact, summary, experience, education, skills), write 3-5 bullets per job that start with an action word and include a number, keep it to one page if you have under 10 years of experience, then save it as a PDF from your browser's print window (choose Save as PDF) so the text stays selectable for job sites.

Copy-paste code

A bullet that works: action + what + number

Before: Handled customer support tickets
After: Led a team of 5 handling 900+ tickets a month at 94% satisfaction

Before: Responsible for scheduling
After: Run daily scheduling for 3 warehouse shifts (45 staff)

Save as PDF:
Windows/Mac (Chrome, Edge): Ctrl/Cmd+P -> Destination: Save as PDF
iPhone: Share -> Print -> pinch out on the preview -> Share -> Save to Files
Android: Share -> Print -> Save as PDF

Good to know

Keep a plain-text copy too: many job forms ask you to paste your resume.

No tool can promise how a hiring system reads a resume; real text and standard section names are the safe choice.

Questions

Is a free resume PDF watermarked?

Some builders add their branding or charge at download. Vitawren's PDF is free with no watermark.

One page or two?

One page for under ~10 years of experience; two is fine after that.
