Video budgets are spent in phases: planning, shoot days, editing, revisions and the licence to use the result. Listing each phase answers the client's "why does a 2-minute video cost this much" before they ask. The template below opens in Billsprig with a brand film filled in.
What matters for videographers
Shoot days as units
Half day and full day are the usual units; put the number of days as the quantity. Crew and gear can be their own lines.
Revision rounds are scope
Say how many revision rounds are included, and bill extra rounds as a line, so the quote and invoice match the contract.
Licence and usage
If the price depends on where the video runs (web only, paid ads, broadcast), name the licence on its own line.
