Work out your royalty decimal, then check every statement line against it
Decimoor shows the royalty decimal the way the operator should have worked it out, one step at a time, then compares it with the decimal on your division order. Paste or type statement lines and it checks the maths, your decimal, deductions and the price against EIA WTI and Henry Hub benchmarks. Everything stays in your browser.
Worked example: an inherited 1/3 of 1/4 of the minerals under a 160-acre tract, 3/16 royalty, pooled into a 640-acre unit
| Step | Formula | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Net mineral acres | 160 × 1/4 × 1/3 | 13.3333 |
| Mineral share of the tract | 13.3333 ÷ 160 | 0.083333 |
| × royalty rate | × 3/16 | 0.015625 |
| × tract share of the unit | × 160 ÷ 640 | 0.00390625 |
| Royalty decimal | 0.00390625 |

FAQ
How is a royalty decimal interest calculated?
Royalty decimal = (net mineral acres ÷ gross tract acres) × royalty rate × (tract acres ÷ unit acres). In a pooled unit you add the decimals of each tract you own minerals in.
Why not MineralAnswers?
MineralAnswers is a full portfolio and regulatory-data service from $29/month (Plus) to $129/month (Premium), checked 9 Oct 2026. If you only need to check your decimal and your statements, Decimoor does that for $9/month or free for one property.
Where is my data stored?
In your browser only. Your properties, decimals and statements are never sent to our server; export a JSON backup any time.
