Profit margin calculator that shows what you keep after fees

For: Online sellers on marketplaces and their own shops, small retailers and makers pricing products, and anyone who mixes up margin and markup.

Type any two of cost, price, profit, margin % or markup % and the calculator fills in the rest. Then it goes further than a one-line margin form: it takes marketplace and payment fees, a fixed per-order fee and shipping off the price to show your net margin and break-even price, finds the price you need for a target net margin, shows what a discount really costs (the extra sales needed to earn the same profit), and adds up a whole product table with a weighted margin.

Worked example: an item that costs 60 and sells for 100, with a 10% marketplace fee, a 0.30 fixed fee and 5 shipping

Why teams pick Profit Margin Calculator

How it works

  1. Open the calculator and type any two values, for example cost and price.
  2. Add your marketplace fee %, fixed fee and shipping to see net margin and break-even.
  3. Try a target margin or a discount, or list several products in the table and download the CSV.

FAQ

Is the profit margin calculator free?

Yes. All calculations, the product table and its CSV are free with no sign-up. Pro ($3 once) only adds the one-file CSV of the fee, target, discount and chart tables.

What is the difference between margin and markup?

Margin is profit divided by price; markup is profit divided by cost. Cost 60 and price 100 is a 40% margin but a 66.67% markup. The calculator always shows both.

Why not Calculator Soup?

Its margin calculator is free and solid for one item. This one also takes fees, fixed fees and shipping off, finds a target-margin price, prices discounts and totals a product table.

Why not a paid calculator app like PCalc or Soulver?

They are general calculators sold at $9.99 and $59. This one does only pricing maths, is free in the browser, and the optional export is $3 once.

Limits?

Fees are entered by you; there are no built-in marketplace fee presets yet. Results are planning estimates, not accounting or tax advice.
